We are seeking an exceptional individual with a strong and multi faceted knowledge base of the Fine Arts, as well as excellent leadership and administrative ability. Grenfell Campus, Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, has a population of more than 1,400 students; over 20% of the student body self identifies as Indigenous, and 20% of Grenfell’s students are international students. The Campus emphasizes innovative approaches to teaching and learning, research and engagement. Experiential learning, impactful research and strong community relationships are the hallmarks of Grenfell’s profile. Our campus is located in Corner Brook, on Elmastukwek/Bay of Islands, in traditional Mi’kmaw territory within the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Reporting directly to the Vice President (Grenfell Campus), we are seeking a visionary and dynamic individual to raise the School’s profile, spark further program development, promote diversity and inclusivity, and lead the School in teaching research, scholarship, service, and engagement. The candidate must be eligible for tenure at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at the time of the appointment. The candidate will possess a customary terminal degree within their field with demonstrated ability in teaching, research and administration, and substantial leadership skills in communication and innovation. In exceptional cases an equivalent combination of professional experience, training, and education may be considered. Of paramount importance is the capacity to work collaboratively, to inspire and facilitate the success of faculty, staff, and students, to represent the school externally, and to lead the school in future operational and infrastructural growth.
