    Two Year Term Position: Painting and Drawing

    The Department of Visual Arts at the University of Regina, a dynamic team of artists and scholars, invites applications for a two-year term appointment in Studio Art – Painting and Drawing at the rank of Assistant Professor. The Department seeks a contemporary visual artist with the ability to teach painting and/or drawing, and the potential to teach in one of the other studio or studies areas listed/noted below. The position commences on July 1, 2020.


    Requirements
    Candidates must hold at minimum an MFA, have an active established professional practice, and have prior experience teaching visual arts at the post-secondary level. The successful applicant will be qualified to teach undergraduate courses in painting and drawing at all levels, from foundations to senior undergraduate and graduate courses. Preference will be given to candidates who have the ability to teach in an additional area as listed above. The successful candidate will also demonstrate their desire and willingness to make administrative contributions to the Department, Faculty, and University, attract graduate students, and be part of creating new initiatives and vision in a collaborative manner.
