    10 Month Term Position: Piano Performance and Theory



    The Department of Music
    in the Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance at the University of Regina, invites applications for a 10 month term position as a Lecturer in Piano Performance and Theory. The position will commence August 1, 2019 and end May 31, 2020. The successful candidate must hold a DMA or PhD in Music and have a proven track record as a performer and experience as an educator, preferably at the post-secondary level.

    The Department of Music is a flexible, responsive and dynamic team of performers and scholars, committed to fostering community engagement and collaboration within the University, the City of Regina, and across the Province. We are active performers in numerous professional settings, and we are committed to the encouragement of our students’ emerging performance careers. The Department presents numerous public performances every semester.

    The successful candidate will teach: private piano students; collaborative piano and accompanying; ear training, theory, and/or music history. Other teaching responsibilities may be assigned according to the needs of the Department and the successful candidate’s range of teaching experience and research interests. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to departmental and faculty service relative to the position, and be an active member of our university and external community.
