The School for the Contemporary Arts at Simon Fraser University invites applications for
a tenure-track position in Production and Design at the Assistant or Associate Professor
level, starting July 2019.

Responsibilities :
The successful candidate will teach within the Production and Design
program encompassing progressive training in design and production processes;
and culminates with practicums in scenography, lighting, projection, costume, sound,
technical direction and stage management.
The candidate will be expected to contribute
to the advancement and growth of the Production and Design area, assist in student
recruitment and academically mentor students. Additionally, the position will include
committee responsibilities, supervision of graduate students and occasional graduate
level teaching. The successful candidate will maintain a robust artistic practice and work
with the School to advance the concepts of performance creation and design.

Requirements for the position include a graduate degree (or one close to completion) in
an area of production or design for the performing arts or a related professional field;
and a serious artistic practice.
