About Queen's University

Queen’s University is located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The main campus is bordered by Lake Ontario, Kingston General Hospital, city parks and residential neighbourhoods. The University is organized into 10 undergraduate, graduate and professional faculties and schools. Currently, there are more than 24,000 students in attendance.  The Church of Scotland established Queen’s College in 1841 with a royal charter from Queen Victoria.

The Faculty of Arts and Science is the largest faculty at Queen’s with approximately 2800 first-year students. With 500 faculty members and 30 departments, the University offers studies in art history, computing, music, and physical and health education, as well as the humanities, the social sciences, and the natural sciences. The Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen’s University has a wide array of degree options and courses. This allows students to get the most from their university experience.
